Amazing Farm

Beef producers are working hard to reduce their environmental impact, and you’ll see them try to tie all kinds of sustainability cred to their brands.

That’s good.
But you won’t see anything like what’s happening every day at Legacy Maker.

Sustainable. By Definition.

An ever-evolving innovation, the farm puts every byproduct to use, extracting value out of every phase in its long, deliberate process of naturally raising its Legacy Maker beef.

It is a true, 100% closed-loop ag operation where absolutely nothing goes to waste.

A Model of Clean Power

A direct output of the Legacy Maker craft is the farm’s 24/7 production of renewable energy.

While on-site generators put enough juice into the electrical grid to power more than 5,000 homes
and businesses, the farm’s renewable natural gas (RNG) operation serves Low Carbon Fuel Standard states across the U.S.

In fact, this RNG is not just carbon neutral.

It’s dramatically carbon negative.

A Team That Shares in the Glory

Supplemental to its own activities, the farm continuously brings in and processes discard material from dairy producers and food manufacturers throughout the Midwest—material that would otherwise go to landfills.

It’s a key part of the operation and the fulfillment of a true business partnership in sustainability.

Truly Amazing Results. In Real Numbers.

All told, in addition to creating Legacy Maker’s craveable eating experience, the farm saves:

200,000 tons of CO2 from the atmosphere
128,000 tons of material waste from landfills
36.5 million gallons of wastewater
70,000 tons of natural mineral resources
